Mobile Medical Camps

During our Child Blindness Programme and subsequent eye camps we noticed that approximately 50% of the schooling children we partnered had issues concerning their vision, and were in need of glasses. The lack of awareness among children and their caregivers also played a role in affecting their everyday school performance. As the target communities we worked with in the past are but a small segment of the entire schooling population in the district, we propose to run regular mobile medical camps that frequent schools on a rotational basis and provide free check-ups and distribute glasses among students that suffer from short/long-sightedness.
